Do You Struggle with Believing in the Value of Your Creativity?

Have you ever been stuck. Wondering how to bring your unique vision into the world…or even if you should.

Everyone knows that geniuses like da Vinci have what it takes. But how do we measure up against the workings of such masters?

THE SEVEN PRINCIPLES OF LIVING LIKE da VINCI

  1. Curiosity-an insatiably curious approach to life and an unrelenting quest for continuous learning.

  2. Experience-commitment to test knowledge through experience, persistence, and a willingness to learn from mistakes.

  3. The continual refinement of the senses, especially sight, as the means to enliven experience.

  4. Embrace ambiguity, paradox, and uncertainty.

  5. Whole brain thinking. Develop balance between science and art, logic and imagination.

  6. Cultivate grace, ambidexterity, fitness, and poise.

  7. Systems thinking. Recognize and appreciate the interconnectedness of all things and phenomena.

Don’t you feel more like a genius already?

I bet you saw yourself in his principles. Yep, you’re already rocking this genius thing. But before we charge onward, slaying the marketplace, let’s consider one attribute of “the man”.

Da Vinci didn’t find meaning in inventions and acclaim. He knew that it was exploration, not achievement that drove his renaissance race car.

Not the thrill of being known. But the thrill of knowing. His quest was simply to make sense of the world. To discover, through his own experience, a connection to the vast array of creation.

Do we, dare we, follow in his footsteps?

The most visible creators are those artists whose medium is life itself. Their medium is simply being. Whatever their presence touches has increased life. Because they are the artists of being alive...
